Farm Trip

Nursery had a fantastic time on their trip to Hatton Country World Farm. They saw lots of different farm animals and even had a ride on a tractor. They all behaved exceptionally well, even Scott our tour guide said how amazing they all were! Thank you to our parent helpers who helped look after our children, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Father’s Day

Nursery loved having their family members join us for a sweet treat and a play. Thank you for everyone who came, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Puddle Jumping and Mud Pie

We put on the outdoor suits and went puddle jumping, the children enjoyed seeing who could make the biggest splash. The mud kitchen was very busy and the soup looked delicious!

Easter Bonnet Parade

We had a very eggciting morning parading around the play ground showing off our fantastic creations. Thank you to everyone who came, we hope you have a lovely Easter break.

Mother’s Day Sweet Treat

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our mother’s day event we hope you enjoyed the scones!

Science Week

To celebrate British Science Week we have been busy carrying out investigations each day. We have been designing clothing for cosmic and gem to wear in the dark, we’ve built tunnels for them to travel underground and designed our own dinosaurs. In order to achieve the Early years explorer award we had to take part in at least 4 investigations and we are please to say that have achieved it and each child received a special certificate.

Spring walk and visit to the pond

Now that spring has officially began we went on a walk to see if we could spot any of the signs. We spotted buds on plants and trees, the weather felt warmer and the birds were tweeting happily. We also visited the pond, where the frogs have laid their eggs.  We got to see what frogspawn really looks like and we are all very excited to see the next stage in the cycle; tadpoles!

Red Nose Day

We enjoyed raising money for red nose day, we had a cake sale, wore red clothes and played games. Pin the nose on Mr tumble was so much fun!

Special Visit from a Police Officer

As part of our theme, People who help us we had a special visit from a police officer. She told us lots about the job she does in the community and at the airport where she works. We talked about how the police keep us safe but our favourite part of all was getting to try on the police uniform! We couldn’t believe how heavy the helmets were. A big thank you to Miss Spearman for coming in and sharing all the wonderful things with us.

World book day

Nursery enjoyed dressing up as wild animals, sharing photos and animal fact files with their friends.
