IMPORTANT INFORMATION📣
Due to the rising temperatures across Worcestershire this week, we want to make sure everyone is kept safe. Please read the following;
- Children can come to school in PE kit to stay cool.
- Children must have a water bottle every day.
- Apply suncream before school and put it in children's bags to reapply throughout the day.
- Children can bring battery powered, hand held fans to use in classrooms.
- Sunglasses and sun hats are encouraged.
- There will be no PE lessons throughout the week to support children to stay cool.
- Children will remain inside throughout the hottest parts of the day and will have short bursts of fresh air in shaded spaces during cooler periods.
- All blinds will remain closed and fans will be on in classrooms to keep room temperatures down.
If you feel the temperature has risen too much throughout the day, you are welcome to collect your child at lunch time and this will go down as an authorised absence.
Please support us to support the children to stay cool and safe during this heatwave🕶️🧴👒

Year 1 had 2 visitors in school this week from Tilbury Douglas. As part of their DT learning, the children enjoyed finding out about the new buildings being constructed at Waseley Hills High School. They looked at photographs of the project and got to explore and hold materials used in construction, such as timber, plywood, concrete, cement and drainage pipes. The children tried to make bridges from paper and realised why it is important to have all of the right materials for a project. It was a brilliant opportunity to make connections between their learning and the real world👷🏻♀️👷🏾♂️🧱
